Screen Pulse is a product of Five Jars Corp (“Five Jars”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with our websites, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who we are and roles
- Controller: For our marketing websites and account onboarding, Five Jars acts as the “controller” of personal data.
- Processor: For customer content processed within the Screen Pulse platform (e.g., user account data, media uploads, schedules), Five Jars generally acts as a “processor” on behalf of the Customer (the controller) under the Terms and any Data Processing Addendum (“DPA”).
- Product: Screen Pulse is provided and operated by Five Jars Corp.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Information you provide directly
- Account and profile: name, email, password, role, team/company.
- Billing: address, VAT/Tax ID, payment method details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).
- Content: media files, playlists, schedules, and other materials you upload to the Services.
- Support: information you provide in support tickets, emails, chat, or feedback forms.
- Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, app version, user agent, language, referring/exit pages, clickstream, and feature usage.
- Log data: timestamps, request/response metadata, error logs, performance data.
- Player/device telemetry: device status, heartbeat, sync status, content playback metadata (not the content itself unless configured), location (if enabled by you), and diagnostic data.
- Information from third parties
- Providers we use for analytics, payments, support, authentication, or integrations may share limited data needed to provide their services (e.g., a payment token or support ticket ID).
- If you connect Screen Pulse to third‑party apps, we receive data from those apps per your configuration.
3. How we use information (purposes)
We process information to:
- Provide and operate the Services, including account administration, content delivery, device management, and integrations.
- Secure the Services, detect/prevent fraud and abuse, ensure business continuity, and maintain availability.
- Provide support, respond to requests, and troubleshoot issues.
- Analyze usage to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Send important service notices (e.g., security, maintenance, policy updates).
- Where permitted, send marketing communications; you can opt out at any time.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Services and fulfill our agreements with you.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and operate the Services, and to communicate service‑related updates. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Consent: for non‑essential cookies/trackers and certain marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: to comply with applicable law (e.g., tax, accounting, security reporting).
5. Sharing and disclosures
We may share information with:
- Service providers/sub‑processors who assist with hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics, email, payments, and customer support; they process data under contract and only as instructed.
- Integrations you enable: we share the data necessary to perform the integration per your configuration and the third party’s policies.
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services.
- In a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale), information may be transferred subject to continued protections.
We do not sell personal information.
6. International transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information in countries other than where it was collected. When transferring personal data from the EEA/UK/Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and UK addendum or other lawful mechanisms. Details are available upon request and/or in our DPA.

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and context. Customer content is retained per your configuration and contract; you can request deletion of Customer content at any time per our Terms and DPA.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, logging and monitoring, backups, and secure development practices). No system is 100% secure; we maintain an incident response program and will notify you of breaches as required by law and our agreements.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: request deletion where applicable.
- Restriction/Objection: request restriction or object to certain processing.
- Portability: request transfer of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent.
To exercise rights, contact us at support@screenpulse.io (or your account representative). We will verify and respond as required by law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
California privacy (CCPA/CPRA)
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising.
- We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors for business purposes consistent with the CCPA/CPRA.
- California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt‑out of certain uses. Submit requests to support@screenpulse.io.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Ensure the Services work (strictly necessary cookies);
- Understand performance and usage (analytics);
- Remember preferences (functional);
- Support optional features and, where applicable, marketing.
